OREGON – Do you enjoy music?
The Oregon Park District is excited to offer the popular Brown Bag Concerts and Concerts in the Park this summer free to the public.
Our popular Concerts in the Park series kicks off on Tuesday, June 5. Concerts are held at Oregon Park West, 1402 Koontz Place, Oregon at the amphitheatre. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and are sponsored by local businesses.
Bring your lawn chair, blanket, picnic basket and wear your dancing shoes! Enjoy a variety of music, yard games and family fun. Giveaways are provided each week by our sponsors, while supplies last. Hot dog dinners are available for purchase if no other food is provided.
To kick-off the popular series on June 5 join us at Park West for a Family Fun Walk/Run at 6 p.m. Bring the family out for a summer walk or run through Park West. This color walk/run course will offer families multiple color stations along the way before reaching the finish line. Get ready to get colored. After completing the run, join us at Park West Amphitheatre to listen to the first concert of the summer, The Stingrays, a 50’s, 60’s and 70’s Rock & Roll Band. Participation fee includes sunglasses and dinner featuring a burger or hot dog, chips and a drink. The cost is $8 per person and credit card registration can be completed at the walk or by calling 815-732-3101.
Dinner will also be available for purchase for $4 with all proceeds benefitting the Oregon Park District Scholarship Fund.
Concerts will be held on June 5, 12, 19, 26 and July 10, 17 and 24. The July 24th concert sponsored by the Oregon Park District offers an exciting ending to the concert series and our summer programming. Be sure to stick around and enjoy a fireworks show after the concert. Food and giveaways will be part of the fun as we thank the community for their support over the last 51 years!

June 12 – Piano Man, tribute to Elton John and Billy Joel sponsored by KSB Clinic of Oregon.
June 19 – Chicago Tribute Anthology, a Chicago tribute band sponsored by Harvard State Bank.
June 26 – Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Hearts, classic 60’s soul, pop, folk and Americana sponsored by Exelon Generation.
July 10 – The Beaux, classic Rock Cover Band sponsored by Stillman Bank.
July 17 – Burn N’ Bush, rock, country and oldies sponsored by Woods/Blount.
July 24 – Entertainment to be announced sponsored by the Oregon Park District.
Friday afternoons this summer bring back our popular Brown Bag Lunches. Enjoy your lunch, great music and even a little shopping on the Courthouse Lawn. The second Friday of the month (June 8, July 13 and August 10) will feature entertainment sponsored by local businesses from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Bring your lunch from home or purchase a lunch from one of the on-site vendors. Stop at one of the local sandwich shops or restaurants and get lunch to go.
Brown Bag concerts will feature Dina Bach music on June 8, sponsored by Circle G Farms. On July 13 One Man Country Band will be sponsored by Harvard State Bank. Country Financial, Oregon will sponsor the August 10 entertainment that will be announced at a later date. Concerts begin at 11:30 a.m. and run until 1 p.m.
