BYRON – Patricia A. Robbins, 81, passed away at home surrounded by her family early on the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019. She was born in Rockford on Aug. 18, 1937 the daughter of Eugene and Irene (Vindhurst) Delaney.
She married Kenneth Robbins in Rockford on May 26, 1971. Patricia loved gambling on the boat, playing bingo, camping, and hummingbirds. But, her biggest enjoyment in life came from being a grandma and great grandma.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and great granddaughter, Nora.
Patricia is survived by her children, Larry (Helen) Mead of Oregon, Gary Mead of Byron, Nancy Loput of California, Renee Barnhart of Oregon, and Gene (Susan) Mead of Belvidere; grandchildren, Alisha (Nick Perko) Dennis, Brandon (Holly) Mead, John (Kayla) Loput, Andrew Loput, Robert Dilbeck, Anna (Kyle Harper) Barnhart, and Kenneth Barnhart; 14 great grandchildren, and special sister-in-law, Kay Manring of Rockford.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St, Byron, with Willie Little officiating. Visitation was prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at the Byron Cemetery. A memorial fund is established in her name.
