MOUNT MORRIS – Patricia M. Burd, age 93. Passed away on Monday July 25, 2022 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris. Patricia was born on March 17, 1929 in Oregon; the daughter of Wilbur and Ida (Kump) Sweeney. She was a high school graduate, and after high school she married Allen E Burd on July 5, 1947 in Mt. Morris. Allen preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 2008.

Patricia was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Mt. Morris; where she served as a deaconess. 

Patricia is survived by her children: Michael (Ann) Burd, Shannon; Sherry (Dana) Krull, Leesburg, Ind.; and Vicki (Rick) Whitlock, Glen Haven, Colo.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brothers: Gene Sweeney and David Sweeney.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Allen, son: James Burd, brother: Richard Sweeney, and sisters: Judy Barnhart and Joyce Shelton.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, with Rev. Rodney Caldwell officiating. Visitation was held on Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 11 a.m. until service time in Silver Creek Cemetery.
