Phyllis Ann Cain

BYRON – Phyllis Ann Cain, age 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born Aug. 4, 1939 in Rockford, the daughter of Daniel and Hattie Reeverts.

She attended Whitaker Grade School and graduated from Byron High School in 1957.  She married Richard N. Cain on Sept. 21, 1957 at the Ebenezer Reformed Church near Oregon.  Phyllis was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church where she participated in the Naomi Ruth, the RCW, taught Bible School, and formerly helped with the monthly newsletter.

Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Phyllis loved to do word search puzzles and enjoyed giving and receiving cards.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Richard, and brother Kenneth Reeverts. 

She is survived by her 2 daughters Beverly (Dave) Bjorklund and Brenda (Tim) Koeller all of Byron, 4 grandchildren; Brianne and Brittany Bjorklund (Rob Rubio), Brian and Brent Koeller, and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 24, 2020 at the Ebenezer Reformed Church near Oregon with the Rev. Josiah Youngquist pastor of the church officiating. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-6 p.m. at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant Street in Byron.  Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
