OREGON – The Oregon Park District would like to invite the public to an open house/meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 6:30-8 p.m. to review the Oregon Park District’s Park West Master Plan.
Representatives from Hitchcock Design and Oregon Park District will be on hand to solicit community input for a Park West Master Plan. The Oregon Park District completed its Comprehensive Plan in April. The next step is identifying a Master Plan for Park West.
“We have contracted with Hitchcock Design to work with staff, board and community members to develop a Master Plan in accordance with our Comprehensive Plan action items,” said Erin Folk, Oregon Park District executive director.
“The Comprehensive Plan called for improvements that will complement the existing amenities and uses of this park as a primary destination. Much of the existing infrastructure at Park West needs to be upgraded. Through this planning process we can establish an approach that is best suited for the current needs and trends of the community.”
The meeting will take place at Nash Recreation Center, 304 S. Fifth St., Oregon. Residents are invited to attend the open house anytime between 6:30-8 p.m. RSVP is not required but is recommended and can be done by phone 815-732-3101 or email erin@oregonpark.org.
