Blue ribbons will be awarded for first place in each of 10 categories and ribbons awarded to second and third place winners.
The museum staff and board of commissioners would like to thank Wanda Cacciatore for bringing this traditional art form to Byron 30 years ago and seeing it through every year. We’d also like to thank everyone that has entered a quilt or volunteered during ByronFest, it wouldn’t happen without you.
This year the quilts will be hung in the theater, also the American Legion building. Next door in the museum’s main hall, we are hosting a traveling exhibit for this summer only, Tattoo: An American Evolution will be on display through Labor Day weekend. Volunteer greeters are needed throughout the ByronFest weekend in both the quilt show and the tattoo exhibit.
If you are able to volunteer or have any questions, contact Marian at the museum from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday or send an e-mail to director@byronmuseum.org. The Byron Museum of History is located at 110 N. Union St.
