Reeverts speaking to Rotary

OREGON – Ryan Reeverts, 19, of Byron, the 2017-2018 Illinois FFA State Reporter, will be the featured speaker at the Oregon Rotary Club Rural/Urban day meeting on Wednesday, April 4.

The Rotary Club meets at the Blackhawk Steak Pit at 11:45 a.m.

Ryan is the son of Terry and Pam Reeverts. He graduated from Byron High School in May of 2016. He was a member of the Byron FFA Chapter where he served as the Chapter Parliamentarian, vice-president, and president. He also served as the section 2 treasurer, vice-president, and president.

His favorite CDE's are livestock evaluation and meat evaluation. Reeverts kept SAE's in swine, poultry, forage, vegetable, fruit, and ag sales and was the 2015 State Diversified Agriculture Production Proficiency winner.

 After his year of service, Reeverts plans to attend Southern Illinois University to major in agriculture education to become a high school agriculture instructor and FFA advisor.
