POLO – Robert Gaul, 80, of Polo, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Morrison Community Hospital. Robert was born Feb. 27, 1938 in Brookville, Ill., the son of John Howard and Vernie L. (Krusey) Gaul.
Robert married Marlene Weegens on May 24, 1958 in Forreston. Marlene died Dec. 17, 2017. Mr. Gaul drove truck and farmed the Polo area for many years.
Surviving are son, Randall Gaul of Polo; daughter, Vickie (Doug) Wiersema of Chadwick; sister, Marjorie Collins of Polo. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlene; and son, Robert.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 26, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Rev. Daniel Wiersema officiated. Visitation was 9 a.m. until the time of service at the Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery, Forreston. A memorial has been established for Grace Bible Church (Adell, Wisconsin) in Robert’s memory.
