Rockin' River Fest returns to Oregon on June 15

OREGON – The Rockin’ River Fest Committee is hard at work planning the 3rd annual Rockin’ River Fest to be held on Saturday, June 15.

Once again, Franklin Street and N. Second Street will be closed to allow safe access to the grounds along the Rock River. This years’ festivities will include lots of family friendly activities, with options for both the young and young at heart, the adventurous, or folks just looking to kick back and enjoy the river view, people watch, enjoy fabulous food and adult beverages, and exceptional entertainment.

Live music featuring Falling Objects, a popular Chicago area rock band playing 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s music from a broad range of artists, will kick off the staged portion of the event at 4:30 p.m.  Hillbilly Rockstarz, also Chicago based, will take the stage at 8 p.m. These musicians are definitely high energy with great stage presence and will perform many country favorites, as well as a few of those forgotten greats.

The much loved “Tug Across the Rock, Adventure Triathlon, and Toss ’em Tourney will again provide competitive activity – with bragging rights, of course! Fabulous local food will be on sight, and Community Showcase booths spotlighting unique products produced in our community will also be featured. The Game Spot, with fun for all ages, returns with a few new additions including interactive inflatables, and a new game – the “Duck Blast.”

The committee is grateful to Martin & Company, who return for the third consecutive year as “Presenting Sponsor” of this community event.
