ROCKFORD – Ronald R. Dickinson, age 62, loving father and grandfather died on Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Rockford after an acute battle with cancer. He was born on June 24, 1955 in Sterling.

Ron graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia College. He worked as an accountant and also owned and operated a Radio Shack in Oregon for many years. He is survived by his sons, Derrik Dickinson of Milwaukee, Wis., Justin (Martyna) Dickinson of Libertyville, and Jake (Ashley Gasparini) Dickinson of Loves Park; siblings, Mike (Karen) Dickinson of Adeline, Vicky Burch of Grimes, Iowa, and Cindy (Neal) Smith of Harlan, Iowa; beloved granddaughter, Aleksandra Dickinson; many nieces and nephews; and he leaves behind many incredible friends who have enriched his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents Darlene and Ray Dickinson and Bill (Louise) Burch.
