BYRON – Sara Jim Nichols Pado, of Byron died in Pinecrest Manor on June 30, 2018 in Mount Morris, at the age of 96. Sara was born on April 19, 1922, weighing only 2 pounds, the daughter of James William Nichols and Jesse (Maffett) Nichols in Winder, Ga.
She married Andy Pado in 1947.
Sara is survived by her daughter, Dana (Joe) Jonakin of Byron; son, Mike (Karen) Pado of Canton, Ga.; granddaughter Sarah Jonakin Bratt, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by husband, Andrew Pado; granddaughter, Rachel Marie Jonakin; sister, Melda Nichols Lowe and other family members too numerous to list.
Per Sara’s wishes she will be cremated and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to First Christian Church, 569 Frasier St. SE, Marietta, Ga., 30060 where she was a member for most of her adult life.
