The Stillman Valley High School Environmental Club participated in the Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge for the 2022-2023 school year.

The Stillman Valley High School Environmental Club participated in the Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge for the 2022-2023 school year. With their hard work they were able to keep 421,623 pounds of plastic out of landfills. This year they had 780 schools registered across the US for the challenge with a total of 608 actively reporting.

SVHS won first place in the national competition (for schools of their size) by collecting 1,955 pounds of plastic. The school thanked environmental club advisor Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Marsh and other community advocates for collecting and bringing plastics to the collection bins at the high school. Trex Plastic will be sending another "recycled" bench, like SVHS won last year for sixth place.
