OREGON — Terry Winter, 72 of Oregon, formerly of Elgin, passed away on Friday, Jan. 6 at home with his daughters by his side. He was born on Jan. 22, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Tom and Harriet Winter. Terry loved fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers as well as the Chicago White Sox. He worked for Illinois Bell (now Ameritech) for 30+ years as an installation/repair technician, retiring and moving to Oregon soon afterwards. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Laura Williams, brother Dave Winter, nephew Kevin Williams and favorite sister-in-law, Pat Winter. He is survived by his three daughters, Heather Winter of Elgin, Melissa Winter of Oregon and Danielle (Roy) Brooks of Leaf River. He is also survived by his remaining siblings, Jim, Kathy, Jeff and Ray along with his two grandsons, Cliff and Nick Brooks. Several nephews and nieces also survive him. Per his wishes, there will be no service. Cremation rights to follow.
