OREGON – Virginia Gail Allen Rees, 77, of Oregon, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2018 in Pinecrest Manor, Mount Morris. Born to Sarah Gnagey Allen and Robert Allen of Mount Morris on July 17, 1941.
Gail retired after 30 years from the State of Illinois Mental Health System, where she was an LPN caring for profoundly challenged clients in Dixon and Rockford. She enjoyed gardening, reading and watching sports on television.
Gail is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bob Rees of Oregon; 3 sons by previous marriage: David Markle of Milwaukee, Wis., Bob Markle of Mount Morris and Mike Webb of Lake Forrest, Calif.; 2 grandchildren; and sister, Carol Allen of Madison, Wis.
Predeceased by her parents and sister, Marsha.
At Gail's request, there will be no services and a private interment will be held in the Rees burial plot in Oakwood Cemetery, Mount Morris. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon assisted the family with arrangements.
