Weld and band return to Jamboree

MOUNT MORRIS – The Mt. Morris Jamboree announces the return of Chicago blues veteran Dave Weld and his band, The Imperial Flames to its stage on Aug. 6, starting at 7 p.m. 

Dave Weld and The Imperial Flames is an authentic, real deal blues band presenting a high energy show with versatile talent and variety, that includes original driving house rockin' blues, boogie and soul and originals that are classic in nature, while the standards are revitalized with striking three-part vocal harmony.

Ralfie's BBQ will be serving pork kabobs, pulled pork sandwiches, pork nachos, pork chop sandwiches, brats, chips, soda and water. Come enjoy the meal, music and fellowship starting at 6 p.m.

It's opening night for the new show themed, Radical Botanicals at the Encore Art Gallery next door on the first floor of Old Sandstone , open from 6:30-9 p.m. Encore's Artist in Residence, Annie Timmer will be hosting kids art activities near the Freedom Bell just to the north of the Band Shell during the concert. Local small business vendors will often be joining us on the Campus with fresh produce and crafts as well as Grandpa's Ice Cream truck. 

Please bring a blanket or chair, or enjoy the new benches and join the fun on our beautiful, historic campus in the center of Mt. Morris, two blocks south of Rt. 64 on Wesley Ave and enjoy the free Chicago Blues show.

In the event of inclement weather, our rain location will be Pinecrest Grove Community Center, 500 Evergreen Lane, 7 blocks south of Rt. 64 off McKendrie St.
