Dixon – Willis J. “Harley” Davison, age 64, died suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at KSB Hospital in Dixon. He was born May 26, 1953 in Rochelle, the son of Willis A. and Vera (Kendel) Davison.
He graduated from Oregon High School in 1971 and attended college locally. Harley worked several years for Forster Implement/John Deere in Dixon and then the past 34 years for Com Ed as a Lineman and crew leader. He married Mary Lynn Frey on Aug. 14, 1987 in Dixon. He enjoyed being with his family, his animals, but mostly his grandchildren. Harley also liked to spend time with his friends at JT’s Gun shop in Dixon. He also enjoyed working in his yard. He was a good son spending time and taking care of his mother.
He was predeceased by his father Willis and sister Julie Greenfield.
His is survived by wife Mary Lynn Davison of Dixon, mother Vera Davison of Oregon, children; Tonya Shaw of Trevor, Wis., Anna Davison of Harvard, Jeni (Monty) Smith of Dixon, D.J. Emmert of Wyanet, Ill., and Ryan (Jenny) Lavelle of Bettendorf, Iowa, grandchildren; Mackenzie Shaw, Vincent Smith, Spenser Smith(Nolan Yocum), Emery Lavelle, and Julian Lavelle, and 1 great granddaughter Nora Yocum.
Funeral service was 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7thStreet, Oregon, with the Rev. Colin Easton of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dixon officiating.  Burial was in the Daysville Cemetery near Oregon. Visitation was from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. A memorial fund is established in his name. Visit  www.farrellhollandgale.com
