The Polo High School bass fishing team finished first in the IHSA Sectional at the Mississippi River (Pool 13) on Friday, May 3. Logan Nelson reeled in the big bass of the sectional, with his catch weighing in at 5 pounds 4 ounces.
Polo’s No. 1 boat won the sectional with a final count of 16 pounds. The team includes head coach Ryan Nelson, Logan Nelson, Jeffrey Donaldson, Kale Grobe and Kameron Grobe.
