CHARLESTON — Byron High School athletes Sam Gentz and Tim Starwalt represented the boys track and field team in the IHSA State Championships at Eastern Illinois University.
Starwalt took 21st in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:33.17 and Gentz finished 29th in the shot put with a heave of 13.98 meters.
