ROCKFORD — Several Byron High School cross country runners earned awards during the Big Northern Conference meet at Fuller Forest Preserve on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Tim Starwalt led the varsity boys, earning All-Conference and running Byron’s fastest time ever at Fuller Forest Preserve. Ashley Potter and Grace Burnes received All-Conference honors for the varsity girls, while Elinor McHale, Emma Franchi and Braden Dietrich were each named Honorable Mentions for the varsity team.
Macyn Burris, Gianna Franchi, Ella Hanes, Brynn Green, Gavin Early, Joel Kerschner and Jace Jackson all recorded top-15 finishes at the JV level.
