NORMAL — The Polo Aplington Middle School cross country team competed in the IESA 1A State Championship meet at Parkside Junior High in Normal on Saturday, Oct. 19. Abram Garcia won the state title, finishing first out of 228 boys in Class 1A with a time of 10:33.51.
Asher Weilacher took 100th with a time of 12:23.23, while Cooper Robieson and Connor Robieson placed 105th and 132nd with respective times of 12:24.65 and 12:38.53. Easton Faivre landed in 178th with a time of 13:01.47.
