David Lee Bull, 60, of Cincinnati, Ohio and formerly of Ogle County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved daughter and son-in-law, at The Christ Hospital on Jan. 21, 2020 after suffering a heart attack.
He was born in Rockford on Dec. 21, 1959 to Bob and Betty Bull. After growing up in Rockford, Leaf River and Forreston, he graduated from Forreston High School in 1977. Directly following his graduation, that summer he began working at Kable News. Through Dave’s hard work, strong work ethics and dedication to his job he worked his way up the ladder to become the Director of Operations & Production. In 2008, Dave was transferred to the Cincinnati, Ohio, Kable Packaging and Fulfillment Services where he continued to work until his passing.
Dave's favorite things in life were: making memories and face-timing with his grandchildren, cheering on the St Louis Cardinals, and Chicago Bears even when they weren't doing well. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and fishing, whether it be on a pond or Lake Erie. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his sense of humor and contagious laughter.
Dave gave generously during his life and after. Prior to Dave’s cremation he was a donor and able to help around 100 people.
Dave was predeceased by his granddaughter April, niece Monica Zellers, and his grandparents.
Dave is loved and will be greatly missed by his loving daughter Miranda and son-in-law Sergio Espinoza; three grandchildren that were the joys of his life – Mia, Liam and Luca Espinoza; caring parents Bob and Betty Bull; siblings Alan (Kathy); Larry; Jeff (Becky) and numerous nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 1-4 p.m. at the Mt. Morris Moose Family Center. For those planning to attend, it is requested to please wear something that represents Dave; Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, Harley Davidson, or #Bullmanstrong shirts.
