EVANSTON — Hannah Bechtel and Lily Shepeck competed in figure skating and represented Byron on the 815 Edge Team. Their last competition of the season was at the 2025 Midwestern and Pacific Coast Sectionals High School Finals in Evanston.
The team placed sixth out of 27 teams, beating out schools such as New Trier, Naperville, Glenbrook and Niles. Hannah also earned individual first place medals in PreGold Solo Dance Pattern and Gold FreeDance. Hannah has committed to University of Wisconsin where she will also be joining their collegiate figure skating team.
