OREGON – The Coliseum Museum in Oregon, IL is pleased to announce the opening of the Focus on Photography Art Exhibit featuring 26 artists with a total of 52 works of art on display from April 4 – May 17.
Focus on Photography is an exhibit for photographers only working in all forms including digital, film, mixed and unique processes.
Participating artists are Rick Brant, Bob Cholke, Raymond Cox, Rick Davis, Brooke Engberg, Jane Erlandson, Jeanne Garrett, Lynn Garrison, Rob Gieraltowski, Stephen Hart, Kat Heitzman, Matthew Klein, Linnea Koch, Amy May Laskye, Bob Logsdon, Joann Murdock, Gary Pearson, Paul Pinzarrone, Robin Poole, Joe Popp, Stephonie Schmitz, Beth Simeone, Steve Toole, Peter Toth, Sam Tucibat, and Joseph Virbickis.
The exhibit will be judged by Rich Ankeney with awards presented at a reception on April 11, 6-8 p.m. with music by Jeffrey Little. Rich Ankeney earned a BFA in painting and photography from Quincy University, a master’s degree in art education from Illinois State University, and a master’s degree in instructional technology from Western Illinois University. Visitors to the Coliseum Museum will also be allowed to vote for their favorite art piece with the People’s Choice Award winner announced at the close of the exhibition.
The April schedule also includes new exhibits by Kat Heitzman on the Feature Walls, and Joy Meyer in the Taft Gallery.
