OREGON — Oregon High School will now face Athens High School in Week 9 of the IHSA football season after Rockford Christian High School announced it will not field a team for the 2024 season.
Both Oregon and Rockford Christian reside in the Big Northern Conference, which normally fields a full nine-game conference schedule each season. The Oregon-Athens matchup will be held on Oct. 25, 2024 at 7 p.m. It will be held at Landers-Loomis Field in Oregon.
