Forreston High School holds 2024-25 Athletic Signing Days

Eight Cardinals sign to play sports in college

FORRESTON — Eight student-athletes at Forreston High School will be competing in athletics at the collegiate level after signing during the 2024-25 school year.

Jaiden Schneiderman, daughter of Nick and Andrea Schneiderman, signed a letter of intent to participate on the volleyball team at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  Jaiden has been a four year varsity starter on the volleyball team at Forreston High School.  She earned team offensive player of the year all four years.  Jaiden has earned All-Conference volleyball honors in 2021 (2nd team) 1st team (Unanimous) in 2022, 2023 and 2024.  Jaiden set the single game records this year with most kills (28).   She had the single season kill percentage (47.9%) this year.   Her career records include Most Career Kills (1,655), Career Kill Percentage (43.8%), Career Aces (147).  Her career record kill (1655) places her 10th in the IHSA Volleyball All-Time records.   She plans to major in Elementary Education.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Jaiden congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Ashlyn Rinaldi, daughter of Randy and Emily Cross signed a letter of intent to participate on the track team at Sauk Valley Community College.   She has been on the track team for four years at Forreston High School.    She plans to major in Business at Sauk Valley.    The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Ashlyn congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Sauk Valley Community College.

McKenna Rummel, daughter of Michael Rummel and Krista Smith signed a letter of intent to participate on the softball team at Sauk Valley Community College.   She has played varsity softball for four years at Forreston High School.    McKenna earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 2024 and Most Improved Offensive Player team honors.   She plans to major in Ag Business.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish McKenna congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Sauk Valley Community College.

Isabella Thiel, daughter of Chris and Becky Thiel signed a letter of intent to participate on the softball team at Sauk Valley Community College.   She has been a four year softball player.   Isabella plans to pursue a Nursing Degree.  The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Isabella congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Sauk Valley Community College.

Chloe Weegens, daughter of David and Terri Weegens signed a letter of intent to participate on the softball team at Sauk Valley Community College.  She has played softball four years.   She earned the team Cardinal Heart/Hustle Award in 2024.  Chloe plans to pursue a Nursing degree.   The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Chloe congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Sauk Valley Community College.

Aubrey Sanders, daughter of Brian and Holli Sanders signed a letter of intent to participate on the softball team at Carthage College.   Aubrey has been a four year varsity softball player.  She earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors and team Most Improved Player in 2023.  Aubrey plans to major in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.   The administration, coaches and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Aubrey congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Carthage College.

Maddie Chesnek, the daughter of Josh Roop and Sara Chesnek signed a letter of intent to participate on the softball team at Clarke University.  Maddie has been a four year softball player.  She earned team honors of Most Improved Defense in 2024.  Maddie plans to major in Elementary Education.   The administration, coaches, and student athletes of Forreston Jr/Sr High School wish Maddie congratulations and best wishes for a successful academic and athletic career at Clarke University.
