STILLMAN VALLEY — The Stillman Valley High School varsity girls basketball team broke a program record after its 49-15 home win against Rock Falls on Jan. 9. The Cardinals improved to 18-0 on the season and set a new record for the most consecutive wins to open a season with 18.
Stillman Valley is now 22-0 on the season after wins over Winnebago, Rockford Christian, Freeport and Geneseo earlier this month. The team is coached by Bobby Mellon and includes Olivia Voltz, Joslyn Nanni, Nola-Ivy Friberg, Lillian Green, Amelia Dunseth, Taylor Davidson, Emma Withers, Abby Gilliam, Addisyn Faerber, Alyvia Bagg, Dailene Wade, Brooklyn Lee and Brooke Jordal.
