Girls Track: Oregon athletes conclude season at IHSA State Championships

Two relay teams record top-16 finishes in Class 1A


CHARLESTON — The Oregon High School girls track and field team sent several student-athletes to the IHSA State Championships, which were held at Eastern Illinois University earlier this month. 

Lorelei Dannhorn finished 28th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:44.04 and Rylie Robertson finished 23rd in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.45 seconds for the Hawks, who competed in Class 1A. Grace Tremble tied for 16th in the high jump with a height of 1.50 meters.

Oregon’s 400-meter relay team (Rylie Robertson, Lexi Ebert, Grace Tremble and Miranda Ciesiel) took 12th with a time of 51.44 seconds and Oregon’s 800-meter relay team (Lexi Ebert, Miranda Ciesiel, Daleanah Koertner and Grace Tremble) took 16th with a time of 1:50.82.
