BYRON – H. Lynn Stivers, age 85, of Byron and formerly of Stillman Valley passed away Monday October 14, 2024. Born in Assumption, IL on November 4, 1938 to Harry & Gladys Stivers (Stokes). A proud Friend of Bill, achieving 42 years of sobriety 2/2/1982. Lynn devoted his life to his family, especially his grand & great grandchildren, his true pride and joy. He loved family camping trips, fixing anything needing repaired, rooting for the Packers and a hot cup of coffee. Beloved husband, father, “Paca”, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Karla D. Stivers (Wick); children, Michael Stivers, Tom (Shelly) Stivers, Melissa (Robby) Sims and Troy Stivers; former daughters-in-law, Leanna & Patty Stivers; grandchildren, Jamie (Josh), TJ (Amanda), Adam (Amanda), Aaron (Autumn), Nathan, Haelie, Zach (Mikki), Jacob, Lizza, Tanner, Ryan, Brandon, Breanna, Kayla and Tyler; 26 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; brothers, Maynard (Lorene) Stivers, Jerry (late Sue) Stivers and Nick (Sabina) Stivers; numerous nieces & nephews; as well as many cherished Camping Club friends and brother & sister-in-laws. He is predeceased by his son, Tim (Sheila) Stivers; son-in-law, Jeff Wallace; granddaughter, Brittany Wallace; infant sister, Correne Virginia Stivers; brothers, Darrel (Ginny) Stivers, Perry Stivers and Ron Stivers; his parents and father & mother-in-law.
Graveside Services held Monday October 28, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Stillman Valley Cemetery, N. Stillman Rd. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
