FORRESTON — Janet Marie Meyers, 61, of Forreston, IL passed away Monday August 19, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 9, 1963 in Freeport, IL to Herbert and Lorraine (Thobe) Marsh. On April 11, 1992 she married William “Bill” Meyers at First United Methodist Church in Forreston. Janet was employed at FHN Memorial Hospital as a billing representative for 20 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Forreston. Janet enjoyed cooking, reading, crafts, and shopping. Christmas was really special to Janet and she always looked forward to decorating the house and giving gifts. Most of all, Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years Bill of Forreston, IL; son Joshua (Kristine) Stevens of Streamwood, IL; daughter Emily (Fiancé Nate Conder) Meyers of Freeport, IL; two brothers Greg (Cindy) Marsh of Livingston, WI and Jeff (Diane) Marsh South Wayne, WI; two grandchildren Zachary and Marcus Stevens; brother-in-law Joe Herrmann; and nieces and nephews, Tyler and Megan Herrmann, Daniel and Jason Marsh, and Austin and Jenna Marsh.
Preceding Janet in death are her parents and sister Deborah Herrmann.
Per Janet’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at West Grove Cemetery in Forreston, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established in Janet’s memory.
