OREGON — Jeffery L. Camling, age 67, of Oregon, IL, passed away on January 18, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1957, at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, IL, to Marian (Kendell) Carpenter and Allen Camling Jr.
Jeff attended Byron High School and was a member of the Class of 1975. From a young age, Jeff had a passion for farming and spent his life dedicated to the land. He also loved trucking, a pursuit that reflected his adventurous spirit and work ethic. His famous words, "Let's Roll, Boys," will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Marian and Allen Camling Jr., and his brother, Gary Camling. He is survived by his children, Amy (Brent) Wolber and Nathan (Joni) Camling, as well as his grandchildren: Dustin (Dezarae) Logan, Brook Logan, Sarah Wolber, Jessica Camling, Ashley Camling, Tyler Camling, and Amanda Camling. He also leaves behind a great-granddaughter, Kopelyn Logan, his niece Kristyn (Anthony) Camling-DiFulvio, and nephew Dane Camling.
Jeff's family will honor his memory with a celebration of life, "Jeff Camling Style," on May 31, 2025 with a hog roast. Details for the event will be shared in early spring.
Jeff’s legacy of hard work and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
