ROCK FALLS – Jesus Alvarado, age 77, died at his home, Friday, February 28, 2025.
Jesus was born on November 5, 1947 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Gloria (Becerra) Alvarado. He was employed as a Butcher for many years with FDL and later Rochelle Foods in Rochelle. Jesus enjoyed spending time with family and loved to feed his squirrels.
Survivors include his significant other, Corina Castillo two daughters, Belinda Alvarado of AZ, and Monique (Melanie Farmer) Castillo of Rock Falls; five sons, Jesse Alvarado of NV, Larry Lozano of AZ, Alfonzo (Stephanie Eich) Alvarado of Oregon, Marco (Heather) Alvarado of Morrison and Gavin Alvarado of Sterling; two brothers, Lorenzo (Sue) Alvarado of AZ and Humberto Perez of China; one sister, Tonette Castillo; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his mother; one grandson; two sisters in law, Rita Weakley and Linda Castillo; one brother in law, Tony Castillo.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 – 6:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the Bethesda Temple, 1602 13th Avenue, Rock Falls, IL. Memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Lucio Esquivel officiating.
