FORRESTON — Kenneth Ray Robbins, Sr, 67, of Forreston IL went home to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning of Saturday, March 22, 2025 after a lifelong illness.
Ken was born on August 22, 1957 in Joliet IL to James and Betty (Winkler) Robbins. Ken married Elaine Mulder on September 22, 2003. They spent 22 strong and loving years together. Truly a marriage arranged by God in Heaven. Thank You Lord. He was a strong man who survived an entire lifetime of health issues, surpassing doctors expectations over and over again. He was never willing to give up and kept fighting, living his life to the fullest.
Ken had a heart for Jesus. He was an ordained minister, graduate of Liberty University and was always available to preach or perform ceremonies when called upon. Ken had a prison ministry. He helped many along the path to Jesus, counseling and giving hope to those in dark places. Family was important to Ken. He came from a large family that enjoyed cooking and busy gatherings, having those dear to him very near. He loved fishing and outings with his children, family and friends. He loved riding his Harley and he was an amazing singer. He also enjoyed movies, camping, hunting, boating, nature, vintage cars, auctions and yard sales.
Ken spent most of his younger life in Joliet, IL, and Hemet, CA where he had many friends and acquaintances, whom he dearly loved. He had dear friends scattered all over the states. So many lives he touched. So many people he cared for. There is no doubt he will be remembered as someone who was well liked by all who met him and was always willing to help others. Everyone knew they could count on him to protect those he loved. Generous, kind and loving, Ken was truly loved beyond words and will be missed by all who knew him.
