Leaf River Soaring Eagles celebrate Achievement Day

LEAF RIVER — At the recent 4-H Achievement Day Awards, many 4-H club members did a great job. The Leaf River Soaring Eagles 4-H Club had many members honored. President Kaden Lingbeck, Vice President Grant Johnson, Secretary David Wehler, Treasurer Kaeden Motszko and Historian Kaden Lingbeck were all honored with the Outstanding Club Officer Achievement Awards. Johnson and Lydia Sherburne received acknowledgement for being Ogle County 4-H Ambassadors. Four members received the Ogle County Top 30 Awards; David Bagwell for Robotics, Johnson for Poultry, Sherburne and Wehler for Food and Nutrition. Gold County Project Honor winners were Bagwell in Robotics, Lingbeck in Poultry, Sherburne and Wehler in Food and Nutrition. Silver County Project Honor winners were Johnson in Poultry and Motszko in College and Career Readiness. Silver Club 4-H Clover Award winners were Johnson and Lucy Miller. Gold Club 4-H Clover Award winners were Bagwell, Lingbeck, Motszko, Sherburne and Wehler. The club also had two Junior Leader recognitions for Bagwell and Sherburne. The Leaf River Soaring Eagles 4-H club received the State Club Award for Community Service. These 4-H members as well as those in the other club all worked hard this past year.
