Dear editor,
Being primarily apolitical, I have little faith in either party; still, something seems more than a little off about the Trump administration. It reminds me of the movie The Wizard of Oz.
Strangely, the president's picks to head some powerful government agencies are Fox News TV personalities and Dan Bongino. Using the movie as a metaphor, they could be the Tin Man, Straw Man, and cowardly Lion, with the president pulling the levers behind the curtain.
President Trump is presently riding high among Republican voters for his perceived positive changes in getting the government under control. I'm reminded of an old saying: " A new broom always sweeps clean." However, in the end, I suspect it will amount to little more than rearranging the deck chairs.
No matter the president's intentions, the tentacles of corruption and mismanagement that have wormed their way into government will take more time to extract than he has as president.
Still, one move that would significantly improve our nation's situation would be to cut Israel loose!
