Dear editor,
I am writing to thank President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Director Elon Musk for their attempt at a first ever audit of our federal government. Their findings of waste, fraud, and abuse make our government more transparent. Two important concepts of the Bible are "knowledge" and "truth". It appears we had no knowledge of the wasteful spending of our political leaders, and the truth is it seems they have been engaged in a soft coup to topple our country from within by way of our economy.
While I do agree with the concept of the handful of protesters who gathered at the County Courthouse last Saturday for their "Hands Off" protest, I find their targeting of both President Trump and Elon Musk misplaced. Trump and Musk are actually saving and returning money to Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid, and that is a very good thing, no matter which side of the political spectrum you are on.
One of the most shocking and interesting things DOGE discovered thus far was the roughly 1 million noncitizens illegally issued Social Security numbers in 2023 for purposes of collecting benefits and voting in 2024. Another shocking finding was the roughly 4.6 million government credit cards issued to roughly 2.3 million federal workers in Washington, D.C. with little to no accountability. Another win for the DOGE team was their finding of a scammer who tapped into the Social Security system and stole the SSNs of 400,000 Americans! As Elon Musk reported, "This is someone who actually stole 400,000 Social Security numbers (SSN) and personal information from the Social Security database."
And as the old infomercials always say, "But wait there’s more!"
Musk and his DOGE think tank discovered $4.7 trillion in virtually untraceable treasury payments, which also exposed a secret network of 14 "Magic Money Computers". Imagine being able to pay all your bills with a computer that automatically creates money in your bank account at the same time! Magic!
Attorney General Pam Bondi has promised arrests and prosecutions are on the way and has encouraged illegal aliens to begin self-deportation to avoid prosecution. All three agencies of ICE, the IRS, and SSA are now coordinating to take these thieves down.
The Biblical truth is there are guilty parties who were involved in this Cloward-Piven's Strategy (outnumber makers with takers) from both sides of the aisle. As a retired educator, I would encourage you all to do your own homework relative to this strategy as well as the well-being of your Social Security accounts.
Trump and Musk are not the bad guys here. If you want to know who the real bad guys/gals are in all of this, we have to "Wait for it," as our youth like to say these days. It will take the FBI and DOJ working with DOGE months to draw up and file the legal papers in all of these matters.
It is time we all drop the partisan politics and band together for as the old adage goes, "The truth always comes out in the end," and it is coming out right now!
