The grounds of the Boone County Museum of History are now graced by an iconic monument to Belvidere’s, and in fact all, first responders.
Elected officials from Boone County, City of Belvidere, law enforcement leaders from Boone County and City of Belvidere and firefighters displaying a wealth of equipment were all on hand recently to commemorate the dedication of a new statue sculpted by InBronze studio of Mount Morris.
The larger-than-life bronze monument portrays a law enforcement officer, a blanket-wrapped rescued child, and a firefighter. Created and executed by sculptor Jeff Adams of Oregon/Mount Morris and sponsored by Jack and Peggy Wolf Family Foundation, the monument will be an inspiration for generations to come.
Adams is currently creating three more sculptures at his InBronze studio for the Illinois State Police Memorial Park in Springfield, as well as five 1.5X life size monuments to the Founders of the Lincoln Highway.
