Lorretta (Sue) Wolfe

OREGON – Lorretta (Sue) Wolfe, age 86, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 in her home in Oregon. She was born on Dec. 19, 1933 in Oregon. She was the daughter of Clarence and Frances (Glawe) Jones. 

She married Lawrence (Larry) Wolfe on August 27,1949 at the Pine Creek Brethren Church near Mt. Morris.  he attended Oregon schools and was a lifelong resident of Oregon. Sue loved her family with her whole heart. She enjoyed having cookouts, gatherings and playing cards and board games with her family. She also loved reading, cooking, gardening, and taking care of the animals on the farm. She cherished the companionship of her dogs, Buster and Clutch, and her cats.  

Sue is survived by her sons:  Kenneth (Joanne) Wolfe Oregon, and Keith (Bridget) Wolfe, Oregon, her daughters: Joyce (Jeff) Jones, Oregon; Janet (John) Blumeyer, Oregon, 3 sisters Ellen Mason of Oregon, Betty Geiger of Rockford, and Mary Ann (Gary) Tarvestad of Rochelle, 1 brother Larry Bielema of Alabama. 11 Grandchildren:  Kenneth Wolfe Jr., Cristy Spevak; Margarita Arellano, Rudy Arellano, Tara Blumeyer, Russell Schier, Jeneen Anderson, Amanda Wherman, Michael Jones, Sasha Logan, Kelsey Head and Megan Wolfe. Great Grandchildren: Brandon Williams, Ryan Williams, Brett Wolfe, Skyler Wolfe, Karley Wolfe, Jameson Wolfe, Morgan Arellano, Immanuel Arellano, Ainslee and Auden Logan. She also had many great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Sue was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Frances, husband: Lawrence Wolfe, daughter: Karen Sommer (Wolfe), brother: Roger Priddy, half-brother: Bill Glawe and half-sister: Delores Priddy. 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at the Chapel Cemetery in Dixon with the Rev.
