In our most loving memory of Maria Adela Clow, who went home to be with our Lord on Aug. 2, 2021. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Clow. She is survived by her children, Addie Clow, of Ocala, Fla., and Nate Clow, of Oregon.
Maria lived a rich life. She lived in various countries in Latin America and amassed several degrees in the medical and education fields. She took permanent residency in Oregon to raise her family in 1981. Shortly after, she found her calling as a Spanish teacher and retired from Sauk Valley Community College after three decades of service in 2017. Community members have come to know Maria over the years as an ESL teacher at the local library, Ogle County Court interpreter, Serenity support group member, and Nash Recreation Center swimmer. May you rest in peace, as you have touched the lives of so many in your venture.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor at St. Mary Catholic Church in Byron on Aug. 11 at 6 p.m.
