DAVIS – Martha Elaine Lazaro, age 63, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018. She was born Oct. 8, 1955 in Rockford, the daughter of John Edward and Alice H. (Jacobs) Lindvall.
She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1973 and obtained her degree in Education from Wheaton College in 1977. Martha continued her education and obtained her Master’s Degree in Education. She married Matthew Lazaro on June 26, 1982 at the Ebenezer Reformed Church near Oregon. Martha taught at the Fredrick Nerge Elementary School in Roselle for 33 years. Martha was currently an active member of the Faith Community Church in Davis.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Martha is survived by her loving husband Matthew, sister Mary Alice Lindvall of Streamwood, 2 brothers Paul (Susan) Lindvall of Chandler, Aiz., and James Lindvall of Mt. Morris, niece Jenna (Chad) Trank of Arizona, and great niece Alison.
Funeral service was 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at the Faith Community Church, 212 W. McKimmy Street Davis, with the Pastor Robert Kolb of the church officiating. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Monday evening at the Faith Community Church. Private burial will be at the Ebenezer Reformed Cemetery near Oregon. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is established for the Gideon’s International and the Faith Community Church of Davis. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon is assisting the family.
