Max E. Perrin passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2021.
Born on July 19, 1937 to Clarence and Evelyn Perrin.
Preceded in death by brothers Robert Perrin, Percy (Nellie) Perrin, son Scott Perrin and grandson Tyler Thomas.
Born and raised in Irene, Ill.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Perrin of 37 years. His children Shelley (Chuck) Smith, Sherry (Rodney) Rowl, Melissa Parrish, Angela Bitner, Pansy (Keith) Goodmonson, Michael (Monica) Parrish and Todd (Brandy) Parrish; Five grandsons Zac (Andrea) Smith, Gabe (Cari) Smith, Cody Bitner, Emmett Goodmonson and Hayden Parrish; Two granddaughters Mallory Parrish and Ava Bitner; Five great grandchildren Liam, Max and Beau Smith and Charlotte and Eathan Smith; and his special McDonald’s co-pilot Peanut.
Max was genuine and devoted. He made friends everywhere he went. He worked hard and played hard. Max had many hobbies. He belonged to the Riverbend Antique Tractor Pullers Club and the Weekend Tractor Pullers Shannon/Freeport Club.
Max built tractor motors for Pullers all across the U.S. He was innovative and knowledgeable and when it came to drag racing and tractor pulling, Max could produce power.
He owned and operated Max’s Trucking for over 50 years. He was a faithful member of First Born Trucker’s Chapel. He loved his family, his friends and his pets. Max is unforgettable, and will be missed and loved by many.
