Representatives from two local food bank pantries attended the monthly meeting of the Ogle County Democratic Committee on May 7. Katherine Wragg and Barbara Diehl shared with the members information about the Polo Lifeline Food Pantry and Loaves & Fish Food Pantry. A brief overview of the community that is served was provided. They shared news of their growing needs as the numbers of clients using their services has increased as federal funding has been drastically cut. Access to basic commodities is a grave concern. A collection was taken, and each pantry received a check for $465 from the Ogle County Democratic Committee and its members.
