The following were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:
Jason Bennett, 48, of Rockford for Failure to Appear. Bennett has a bond of $292 and did not post bond. Bennett will return to court on 08/15/18 at 1 p.m. Bennett will remain in the Ogle County Jail.
Charlena Pempilton, 34, of Freeport for Failure to Appear. Pempilton has a bond of $411 and did not post bond. Pempilton will return to court on 08/16/18 at 1 p.m. Pempilton will remain in the Ogle County Jail.
Ciara Ancona, 31, of Rockford for Possession of Controlled Substance and Failure to Appear. Ancona has a bond of $1,500/10 percent and 3354. Ancona did not post bond and will return to court on 08/15/18 at 1 p.m. Ancona will remain in the Ogle County Jail.
At approximately 5 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies located a Honda Crosstour stopped in the middle of the intersection of Montague road and Pecatonica road. The vehicle was being driven by Michael R. Sanchez, 24, of Leaf River. It was determined that Sanchez had run out of gas and the vehicle stalled. It was also found that Sanchez has never been issued a drivers’ license in Illinois or any other state. Sanchez was arrested for driving without a license and given an Individual Bond at the scene. Sanchez is due to appear in Ogle County Court at a later date. Fuel was obtained for the vehicle and released to a valid driver.
Aug. 13
At 1:33 p.m., ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Illinois Rte. 72 and Pecatonica Road. After an investigation it was determined that a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up being driven by William Jaworski of Elk Grove Village failed to reduce his speed to avoid a vehicle turning north onto Pecatonica road. There were no injuries to anyone involved in the incident. As a result of the accident jaworski was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The following were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:
Gaylord Widergren, 55, of Byron for Failure to Appear. Widergren had a bond of $2,062.82. Widergren received a partial purge of $200. Widergren was able to post bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Widergren will return to court on 09-24-18 at 9 a.m.
Jourdan Mondragon, 41, of Rockford for Armed Robbery. Mondragon has a bond of $250,000/10 percent. Mondragon was not able to post bond and will remain in the Ogle County Jail. Mondragon will go back to court on 08/22/18.
Aug. 12
Kimberly D Durbin, 58 of Rochelle was arrested for Failure to Appear. Durbin paid the $125 Full Cash Bond and was released with no further court date needed.
At approximately 11:57 a.m. the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department, Forreston Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of Montague Road and Baileyville Road in reference to a two vehicle accident with injuries. After investigation Deputies learned a Toyota SUV driven by Mildred Sturtz, 79 of Lanark was traveling eastbound on Montague Road and had stopped at the stop sign with Baileyville Road. Sturtz then pulled out in front of a Dodge van traveling northbound on Baileyville road and driven by Linda Giedd, 67 of Forreston. Sturtz’s vehicle then struck Geidd’s vehicle on the driver’s side and both vehicle’s came to rest in the northeast ditch of the intersection. Both Geidd and Sturtz were transported to FHN Hospital by EMS for non-life threatening injuries. Sturtz was issued a citation for failure to yield.
At 1:05 a.m. Deputies stopped a 2001 Purple Harley Davidson in the 1300 block of Daysville road for speeding and loud muffler. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Bradley Prosser, 49, of Rochelle for DUI. He also received citations for speeding, loud muffler, and failure to carry driver’s license.
Aug. 11
At 8:23 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 13000 block of Rt. 52 for an equipment violation. After a short investigation, Anthony Duarte, 27, of Shannon was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license. Duarte was transported to the Ogle County jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 4:45, Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 6000 blk of N. Rt. 2. After an investigation, Brandon E. Turner, 28, of Rockford, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Turner was also cited for Speeding and Improper Use of Registration. Turner’s passenger, and the vehicle’s registered owner, Nichole M. Chavez, 23, also of Rockford, was cited for permitting Unauthorized Person to Drive.
At 1:41 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a welfare check on a male asleep in his running vehicle at Lincoln Highway and Cherry Ave in Rochelle. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Donato Belmonte, 32 of Rochelle for Driving Under the Influence, Driving while License Suspended, No Valid Driver’s License, two counts of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence and a citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Belmonte was transported to the OCCC and held pending a bond hearing. Deputies were assisted by Rochelle Police and Ron’s Towing.
Aug. 10
At 6:32 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of N Freeport Rd for a speeding violation. After a short investigation, Konner D Dadez, 20 of Freeport was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Dadez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 1 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in rural Forreston for the report of a suspicious person. After a short investigation, Christopher Boyd, 29, of Taylor Ridge, IL was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Boyd was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tanessha Gates, 26, of Rockford for Driving while License Suspended. Gates was arrested by deputies on I-39 near Rte. 64 after being stopped for a registration violation. Gates was held in lieu of bond at the jail.
Aug. 9
The following were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrant:
Dustin A. Brehm, 29, of Oregon for Foid Revoked. Brehm had a bond of $3,000. Brehm received a recog of $3,000. Brehm was released from the Ogle County jail. Brehm will return for court on 08/24/18 at 9 a.m.
David W. Byerley, 49, for Firearm without Valid Foid. Byerley had a bond of $10,000/10 percent. Byerley did post bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail.
David A. Pedersen, 48, of Fulton for Failure to Appear. Pedersen has a $968 bond. Pedersen did not post bond and will remain in the Ogle County Jail. Pedersen will go to court on 08/10/18 at 1 p.m.
Phillip K. Rogers, 34, of Rockford for Failure to Appear. Rogers has a $427 bond. Rogers did not post bond and will remain in the Ogle County Jail. Rogers will go to court on 08/10/18 at 1 p.m.

The following were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:
Cody Suter, 28, of Oregon for Failure to appear. Suter has a bond of $1615.05. Suter will appear in court on 08/09/18 at 1 p.m. Suter will remain in the Ogle County Jail.
Jeffrey Plantz, 20, of Mount Morris for Failure to Appear. Plantz has a bond of $441. Plantz will appear in court on 08/09/18 at 1 p.m. Plantz will remain in the Ogle County Jail.
Arturo Lopez-Lopez, 41, of Rochelle for Crim Sex Assault/ Force. Lopez-Lopez has a bond of $5,000/10 percent. Lopez-Lopez will appear in court at 08/09/18 at 1 p.m. Lopez-Lopez will remain in the Ogle County Jail.
