Matthew A. Hood, 32 of Ashton, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County Warrant for Aggravated Domestic Battery. Hood posted the $25,000 10 percent bond and was released. Hood will return to court on 5/18/18 at 9 a.m.

At approximately 3:23 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 1900 block of S. Lowell Park Road. After investigation, Deputies placed Justin Johnson, 27 of Dixon under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Johnson was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

April 16

The following were arrested for outstanding Ogle County Warrants:

Dontae L Bell, 38 of Rockford for Failure to Appear with a Full Cash Bond of $756. Bell appeared in court and was given a bond reduction to $50.00. Bell remains in the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court on 05-21-18 at 9 a.m.

David E Durbin, 33 of Rochelle for Failure to Appear with a Full Cash Bond of $2,863. Durbin was released on a Recognizance Bond and will appear in court on 05-21-18 at 9 a.m.

Jessica P Lewis, 31, Homeless for Failure to Appear with a Full Cash Bond of $858. Lewis was released on a Recognizance Bond and will appear in court on 04-30-18 at 9 a.m.

April 15

At approximately 11:40 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call at 5823 Bradley Rd, Stillman Valley. After an investigation, Deputies arrested Taylor Young, 20 of 700 E. Washington, Oregon, on a warrant for Criminal Damage to Property. Young was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

April 14

 Ogle County Deputies investigated a one vehicle crash that occurred in the 8000 blk N Barker Rd Byron. As a result of the investigation Julie Dzielak, of Rockford was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was issued two other traffic citations and one civil citation for possession of cannabis under 10g. There were no injuries as a result of the crash. Dzielak was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

On 04/13/18 Luke Swan, 51, of Rochelle was arrested for Failure to Appear. Swan has a bond of $561 and will appear in court on 04/17/18 at 9:00am. Swan remains in the Ogle County jail.

April 12

At approximately 7:50 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the intersection of IL Rte. 52 and Freeport Road in reference to two vehicle accident involving an injury. Deputies learned that a 2013 Freightliner semi with a loaded tractor trailer with sand driven by Dale Schindler, 56 of Earlville, Iowa was traveling westbound on IL Rte. 52 approaching the Freeport Road intersection. A 2012 Nissan Altima traveling northbound and driven by Nicole Stamper, 19 of Belvidere, was stopped at the stop sign on Freeport Road at the intersection before pulling out in front of the semi who had the right of way and didn’t have to stop at the intersection. The semi then struck the Nissan on the passenger side of the vehicle causing heavy damage to both vehicles. Stamper was treated by Polo EMS and Fire at the scene before being transported to by REACT helicopter to Mercy Hospital. Deputies later learned Stamper sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Stamper was issued a citation for Failure to Yield.

Jonathan Early, 24, of Davis Junction was arrested for Failure to Appear. Early has a bond of $2516 and will have court on 04/13/18 at 1 p.m. Early remains in the Ogle County Jail.

At approximately 11:23 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle in rural Lindenwood. Pursuant to the stop, Dustin Cole, 33, Monroe Center, was arrested for DUI, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Failure to Signal a Turn, Illegal Squealing of Tires, No Proof of Insurance and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Cole was confined at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

At approximately 7:32 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of n Stillman road. After an investigation, Courtney Voth, 18, of Stillman Valley was charged with Speeding (26-35 over posted limit/class B misdemeanor) and cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Courtney was released on an IBond.

April 11

Maya Petersen was arrested for Retail Theft <$300 warrant. Petersen has a bond of $5,000.00/10%. Petersen will appear in court on 04/12/18 at 1 p.m.

Keyama Daniels was arrested for Retail Theft warrant. Daniels has a bond of $5,000.00/10 percent. Daniels will appear in court on 04/12/18 at 1 p.m

At 10:30 p.m., Ogle County Sherriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-39 at mile marker 102 for an equipment violation. After an investigation, Roberto Simental Vasquez, 46, of Tennessee was arrested for No valid driver’s license. Vasquez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

The Ogle County Sheriffs Office arrested Jamar Grillier, 30 of Byron for Driving While License Revoked. Grillier was arrested by Deputies on Route 2 near Byron after being stopped for speeding. Grillier was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.

Brittany Grubb, 23 of Dekalb for Failure to Appear. Grubb had a bond of $610 Full cash. Grubb did not post bond and will remain in the Ogle County Jail. Grubb will return to court on 04/11/18 at 1 p.m.

April 10

The Ogle County Sheriffs Office arrested Mildred Mayor, 52 of Rockford IL for Driving While License Suspended. Mayor was arrested by deputies on Highway 251 near Edson Road after being stopped for speeding. Mayor was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
