Ogle County Sheriff 1-6-20

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on Lilac Lane in rural Rochelle for the report of a disturbance. After conducting an investigation, Eduardo Orozco-Ramos, 26 of Rochelle, was arrested for Domestic Battery.  Orozco-Ramos was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is held without bond until seen by a judge.

At approximately 10:12 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 100 block of S. 2nd St. in Oregon.  After investigation, Deputies placed Jonathan Ross, 20 of Dixon under arrest for No Valid Driver's License and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Ross was additionally issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle. Ross was transported to the Ogle County jail where he was later released on a Recognizance Bond by a Judge. 

At 8:44 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on IL Rt. 251 at IL Rt. 72 for an equipment violation. After an investigation the front seat passenger, Lavalle Hughes, 34 of Janesville, Wis., was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis/Passenger. Hughes was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

At 8:30 p.m. following a traffic stop on I39 mile marker 109 Northbound Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Alyssa Angelico, 25, of Roscoe for Driving While License Suspended. Angelico was released on scene with a return court date of 1/31/20 at 9am.

Dec. 31

Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies Arrested Cole A. Nevenhoven, 26 of Byron, on N. Tower Rd. and Lynn Rd. For Driving While License Suspended and an Ogle County Warrant. Nevenhoven was transported to the Ogle County Jail. Nevenhoven posted bond and has a return court date of 1/24/20 at 9 a.m.

Dec. 30

The following people were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:

Erich Huber, 38, of Stillman Valley for Failure to Appear. Huber had a bond of $470. Huber did post the $470 bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail.

Regina Tamayo, 52, of Oregon for Failure to Appear. Tamayo was not able to post and and will go to court on 12/30/19 at 1 p.m.

Dec. 29

At approximately 3:26 a.m., Deputies responded to an address in the 500 block of Garfield St. in Leaf River in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation Ronald Reittinger, 36 of Leaf River, was placed under arrest for Aggravated Domestic Battery. Reittinger was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Dec. 27

At approximately 6:07 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 407 N Chestnut Lot #27 in Forreston.  After an investigation Kode Hall, 26 of Forreston was arrested for domestic battery, and an outstanding Lee County warrant.  Hall was transported to the Ogle County Jail where was held in lieu of bond.

At 12:02 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 2 vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Mt. Morris Road and IL RTE 72 in rural Leaf River. A Honda passenger car driven by Victor Heather, 18, of Oregon, was southbound on Mt. Morris Road approaching the intersection with IL RTE 72. Numerous witnesses and evidence at the scene indicate that Heather failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a Kia SUV that was traveling eastbound on IL RTE 72. Heather’s vehicle came to rest in the intersection, facing North. The Kia SUV was pushed into the south ditch upon impact, overturned, and came to rest in the ditch on its side; facing East. Heather was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Mercy Health’s Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford for treatment of serious injuries by the Mt Morris Ambulance. The Kia was driven by Jason Viverito, 42, of Davis Junction. Passengers in the Kia were: Steve Klassen, 62, of Davis Junction, Dawn Klassen, 58, of Davis Junction, Curtis Sherman, 63, of Loves Park, and a 5-year-old female juvenile from Davis Junction. All occupants of the Kia were transported to Swedish American Hospital in Rockford for treatment of serious injuries by EMS from Byron, Leaf River, and Forreston. Accident remains under investigation.

Dec. 26

At approximately 8:40 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to Primrose Ln, Davis Junction reference a Domestic Battery. After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Dennis S. Vineyard, 47, of Davis Junction for Domestic Battery. Dennis was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Lonita Stokes, 30, of Chicago on a outstanding Ogle County Warrant for Driving While License Suspended. Stokes had a bond of $2,000/10 percent. Stokes posted bond was released from the Ogle County Jail. Stokes will return to court on 1/17/20 at 9:00 a.m.
