Ogle County Sheriff 2-28-22

On 1/27/22 at approximately 9:44 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I39 mile marker 107. After conducting an investigation, Deputies arrested Jonathan Williams, 50 of DeKalb, for Driving While License Suspended. Williams was also issued a citation for an equipment violation. Williams was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month and released on scene.

Ogle County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Lake LaDonna for a report of suspicious activity. While in the area deputies located a suspicious vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Durango. As a result of the stop deputies arrested Brandon Miller, age 28, of Oregon for possession of cannabis. Further investigation into Miller by deputies and detectives concluded that Miller was responsible for committing more than a dozen burglaries at Lake LaDonna and the Rock River Marina over the last month.  Miller was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond

Jan. 24

At approximately 8:01 p.m., Deputies responded to Rochelle Community Hospital in reference to a domestic battery that had occurred earlier in the 100 block of Windmill Court. After investigation, Deputies placed Fatmir Fejzoski, 26 of Rochelle under arrest for Aggravated Domestic Battery at Liquor and Wine in Rochelle. Fejzoski was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held pending a court appearance.

At approximately 12:13 a.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of E. IL Rte 64 and IL Rte 251. After investigation, Deputies arrested Tanya Aluriston, 35 of Cedar Rapids IA, for No Valid Driver's License. Aluriston was also issued citations for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and an equipment violation. Aluriston was given an I-Bond at the scene and given a future court date.

Jan 23

At approximately 2:36 a.m., Ogle County Deputies responded to the 100 block of Roy Avenue in reference to a disturbance. After investigation, Deputies arrested Cody Huff, 29 of Rochelle, for Domestic Battery. Huff was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

Jan. 21

At 4:22 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of N. IL Rt. 251 for a speeding violation. After an investigation, Nicholas Dildine, 27 of Davis Junction was arrested for driving on a suspended license. Dildine was also issued citations for speeding 26-34 MPH over the limit and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Dildine was released on a signature I-Bond with a return court date.

At approximately 10:57 a.m. Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of IL Rte. 64 and Moore Road.  Upon arrival Deputies learned that a Chevrolet Cruze driven by George Hall III, 81 of Rochelle, was traveling westbound on IL Rte. 64.  The Chevrolet Cruze then crossed the over the center line of the roadway into the eastbound lane before striking a Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck, which was traveling eastbound and was driven by Jacob Hackbarth, 19 of Lindenwood.  The Chevrolet Cruze sustained heavy damage and Hall was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The 2500 pickup truck overturned during the accident and sustained heavy damage.  Hackbarth was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital by Lynn-Scott Rock EMS for minor injuries.  Rochelle EMS and the IL State Police also assisted.  The accident remains under investigation.    

At approximately 11:20 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Forreston Police Department and Forreston EMS responded to a one vehicle accident in the 13000 block of West IL RTE 72. Upon investigation, it was learned that the driver, Jacqueline Hollaway, 59 of Oregon, entered the north ditch when her vehicle overturned. Hollaway was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hollaway was issued a citation for improper lane usage.

Jan. 18

At approximately 6:48 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I39 mile marker 111. After brief investigation, Deputies arrested Rogelio Gonzalez-Sanchez, 31 of Beloit WI, for Driving While License Revoked. Gonzalez-Sanchez was also issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and an equipment violation. Gonzalez-Sanchez was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

AAt approximately 11:30 p.m., Ogle County Deputies responded to the 5000 block of S. Greenland Dr. for a disturbance. After investigation, Deputies arrested Kelly Gallagher, 38 of Rochelle, for Disorderly Conduct. Gallagher was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where she was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.
