March 5, 2020
At approximately 1:15 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of IL Rte 26 and Peek Home Rd for a moving violation. After a brief investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 32-year-old Terry Turner of Dixon for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Turner was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at N. Il Rte 2 and Kathryn Rd. After further investigation Deputies arrested Joshua A. McCaslin, 37, of Mount Morris, for Driving without Insurance and Driving Under the Influence. McCaslin was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
March 4
Gianna Pattalio, 19, of Franklin Grove had a warrant for Failure to Appear. Pattalio has a bond of $629, and will go to court on 03/04/20 at 1 p.m. Pattalio remains in custody at the Ogle County Jail.
The Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Deleeshawn Burgess, 30 of Chicago for DUI. Burgess was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies on Hwy 251 near Holcomb Road after he had driven his vehicle into the ditch. Burgess was transported to the Ogle County Jail and was held in lieu of bond.
March 3
At approximately 7:05 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Illinois Rte. 26 and Lanark Rd. After further investigation Deputies arrested Ryan Dyson, 29 of Forreston, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While License Suspended. Dyson was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Aron Gomer, 20 of Sterling, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Driving 15-20 mph Above the Speed Limit. Gomer posted the $3,000/10 percent bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail and will return to court on 04/03/20 at 9 a.m.
March 2
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations on I39 at Mile Marker 107. The vehicle, a Chevrolet Cobalt passenger car, did not stop for Deputies and fled from the scene. The vehicle later came to a stop on I39 where the driver, Louis Portlock, 35 of Houston Texas, was charged with Fleeing to Elude a Peace Officer. Portlock was also issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Improper Lane Usage, Expired Registration, Speeding, and No Passenger Side Headlight. Portlock was released on an I-Bond with a return court date later this month. Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by the Illinois State Police.
Steven Blomberg, 27 of Rochelle, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear. Blomberg posted the $599 full cash bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail and has no further court dates.
Feb. 29
At approximately 11:23 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Canada Rd and Lowell Park Rd for a traffic lane violation. After a brief investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 53-year-old Tamela Byrns of Polo for Driving While License Revoked and a valid Dekalb County warrant. Byrns was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Feb. 28
Antwon M. Woodson, 27, of Polo was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff's office for a Failure to Appear warrant. Woodson has a bond of $307 and will appear in court on 02/28/20 at 1 p.m. Woodson remain in custody at the Ogle County Jail.
The following people were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding warrants:
Jared Wiggins, 32, of Polo for a Theft warrant. Wiggins has a bond of $3000/10 percent. Wiggins will go to court on 03/02/20 at 1:00pm. Wiggins remains in custody with the Ogle County Jail.
Neel S. Huffman, 50, of Forreston was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff's office for a DUI warrant. Huffman had a bond of $10,000/10 percent. Huffman posted bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Huffman will return to court on 03/27/20 at 9 a.m.
At approximately 9:01 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a vehicle check at the intersection of IL Rte 26 and Henry Rd. After a brief investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 44-year-old Adin Taylor Jr. of Sterling for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Taylor was then transported to the Ogle County Jail and help in lieu of bond.
Feb. 26
The following people were arrested on outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Leia Thumann, 42, for Failure to Appear. Thumann has a full cash bond of $457 and will appear in court on 02/28/20 at 9 a.m.
Jazmin Johnson, 23, for Driving While License Suspended. Johnson posted the $3000/10 percent bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail with a return court date of 03/20/20 at 9 a.m.
