June 26
At 1:49 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 8000 block of North IL Rte. 251 for an Equipment Violation. After an investigation, Kristina D. McNutt, 48 of Rockford, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. McNutt was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
June 25
At 10:57 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I39 at mile marker 102 in the north bound lane on a 2008 Mercury Sable for an Equipment Violation. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Russell Warner, 53 of Rockford, for Driving While License Revoked. Warner was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 9:28 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 17000 block of West Milledgeville Rd. After further investigation Kevin Mon of Mt. Carroll was taken into custody for Driving While License Suspended.
At approximately 11:25 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Walnut Ave in Forreston. After an investigation Andrew P Rucker, 19 of Leaf River was arrested for Driving on a Suspended Illinois Driver’s License. Rucker was also cited for not wearing a seat belt. Haldane Towing removed the vehicle from the location. Rucker was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 24
At 8:48 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 10000 block of North Leaf River Rd. After further investigation Rigoberto Garcia, 22 of Rockford, was placed under arrested for No Valid Driver's License. Garcia was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At 4:43 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Queens and Bethel Road. After an investigation Deputies arrested Michael Henry, 37 of Kings for Driving While License Suspended and an active warrant out of Lee County. Michael was transported to the Ogle County jail and is being held in lieu of bond.
June 23
At approximately 12:10 a.m., Deputies responded to 111 Main Street in Leaf River for the report of a Domestic Battery that had just occurred. After conducting an investigation, Tobias Whetsel, 37 of Leaf River was arrested for Domestic Battery. Whetsel was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond
June 21
Ogle County Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance outside of 409 Wild Rice Ln in Lost Nation. After an investigation Thomas Fiala, 63, was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he will be held until he can be brought before a judge.
At 1:30 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 15000 block of W. IL Rt. 64 for an equipment violation. After an investigation, Christopher Mullen, 44, of Lanark was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mullen was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
June 20
At 9:19 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of S. IL Rt. 2 for a moving violation. After an investigation, Michael Jordan, 58, of Oregon was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Michael was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
At 10:12 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop at IL Rt. 64 and Kent Rd. After further investigation, Norah Shatwi Alshatwi, 32, of Atlanta, Georgia was arrested for No Valid Driver's License. Alshatwi was transported to the Ogle County Jail and where she was held in lieu of bond.
At 3:03 a.m., Ogle COunty Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 10000 block of N. IL Rt. 2 for an equipment violation. After an investigation, Christopher Baker, 28, of Rockford was arrested for driving while license suspended. Christopher was transported to the Ogle county Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 19
The follwoing were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:
Fred Robison, 38, of Peoria for Probation Violation and Failure to Appear. Robison has a bond of $3,000/10% and $945. Robison will return to court on 06/20/19 at 1 p.m.
Erich Huber, 37, of Stillman Valley for Driving while License Suspended. Huber had a bond of $3000/10%. Huber received a $3,000 recog and was released from the Ogle County jail. Huber will return for court on 07/12/19 at 9 a.m.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 blk of N. IL. Rte 2. After a short investigation Deputeis arrested Manuel P. Estrella for No Valid Driver's License. Estrella was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 9:07 p.m., Deputies responded to the 800 block Main Street, Leaf River, reference an unwanted subject. After a short investigation, Deputies arrested Joshua S. McQuality, 42 of Leaf River for Domestic Battery. Joshua S. McQuality was then transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
June 18
At 8:43 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at Grubsteakers, Rt. 251 and Rt 64. Responding deputy located a male who bleeding profusely from a stab wound to the leg and immediately provided medical attention to him. A second male, identified as William Shively age 36 of Ocala, FL, was also on scene and had minor injuries was taken into custody. A female on scene had minor injuries from an altercation with Shively. All three subjects were transported to Rochelle Community Hospital and treated for their injuries. After further investigation, Shively was charged with aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, and battery. Shively was transported to Ogle County Jail where he remained in lieu of bond.
Nicholas Davis, 34, of Rochelle had an Ogle County Outstanding Warrant for Failure to Appear. Davis had a bond of $4718. Davis recieved a $1,000 recog and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Davis will return for court on 07/29/19 at 9 a.m.
June 17
The following people were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:
Karl A. Munda, 36, of Shannon for Domestic Battery Warrant. Munda had a bond of $3,000/10%. Munda posted the $3,000/10% bond and was released from the Ogle County jail. Munda will return to court on 07/12/19 at 9 a.m.
Alex R. Gonzalez, 24, of Hill Crest for Failure to Appear. Alex posted his $100m bond and was released from the Ogle County jail. Gonzalez has to return for court on 07/29/19 at 9 a.m.
Zachery M. Sanders, 30, of Rockford for Failure to Appear. Sanders had a $386 bond Sanders recieved a $1000 recog from the Judge and was released from the Ogle County jail. Sanders has to return on 07/29/19 at 9 a.m.
Margeret L. Burfield, 30, of Rockford for Suspended Drive’rs License. Burfield was given a $3000 recog and was released from the Ogle County jail. Burfield has to return to court on 07/08/19 at 9 a.m.
June 16
Thre following people were arrested on outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Tyrus Sandoval, 52 of Mt. Morris, for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol. Sandoval posted the $3,000/10% bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail with a court date of 07/12/19 at 9 a.m.
John Strader, 31 of Nelson, for Driving While License Revoked ($10,000/10%) and Failure to Appear ($1,959.77). Strader remains in the Ogle County Jail and will go to court on 06/17/19 at 1 p.m.
Caleb Fuller, 43 of Dixon, for Failure to Appear with a bond of $297 full cash. Fuller remains in the Ogle County Jail and will go to court on 06/17/19 at 1 p.m.
At approximately 6:49 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies along with the Polo Police Department responded to the 16000 block of West Illinois Route 52 for a single vehicle in the ditch. After an investigation it was learned that Arthur J Zacharias, 29 of Mt Carroll, was driving westbound on Illinois Rte 52 when his vehicle entered the ditch. Zacharias charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving on a Suspended Drivers License, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Parking, Improper Lane Usage, Drivers License Expired more than a Year. Zacharias was transported to the Ogle County jail where he is being held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 1:41 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of N. IL Rte. 2. After investigation, Deputies placed a 16 yr. old male juvenile under arrest for No Valid Driver's License. The male juvenile was also issued a citation for speeding and later released on an I-Bond.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I88 at mile marker 75. After further investigation Murisetty S. Sandeep, 27 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was arrested for No Valid Driver's License. Sandeep was also issued a citation for Scott's Law. Sandeep was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 15
At approximately 1:40 p.m., Deputies responded to 306 Errett Road, Rochelle, in reference to possible underage drinking. After a short investigation Deputies took into custody Caleb L. Wilson, 20 of Mendota, Kendall A. Yeruski, age 19 of Peru, and Anna K. Peters, 19 of La Salle, for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.
At approximately 8:39 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 6000 block of West Illinois Rte 2. After further investigation, Cade Kuelling, 19 of Forreston, was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of Alcohol by a Minor. Kuelling was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 14
The following people were arrested on outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Walter Scott, 32 of Maywood, for Failure to Appear. Scott remains in the Ogle County Jail with a full cash bond of $1,919 and will appear in court on 06/17/19 at 1 p.m.
Darryl Beasly, 52 of Sterling, for Failure to Appear. Beasly was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and will appear in court on 06/24/19 at 9 a.m.
David Walker, 40 of Sterling, for Failure to Appear. Walker was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and will appear in court on 06/24/19 at 9 a.m.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 16000 block of East IL Rte 64 for an Equipment Violation. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Kyle Brandon, 44 of Dixon, for Driving While License Revoked. Brandon was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3300 block of North Meridian Rd for Improper Lane Usage and Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign. After further investigation Deputies arrested Brandon Bradle, 48 of Franklin Park, for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol. Bradle was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 11:35 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of South IL Rte 2 in reference to a single vehicle accident. After a short investigation, James Long, age 64 of Morrison IL, was traveling northbound on his three wheel motorcycle when he struck a large tree branch that landed in the roadway directly in front of him. James was transported to KSB Hospital by Oregon EMS where he was treated for minor injuries.
At approximately 8:28 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West Rte 64. After a short investigation Deputies arrest the Andrew D. Gonzalez, 27 of Lanark, for Driving While Licensed Suspended. Gonzalez was then transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 13
Taylor Erdman, 23 of Davis Junction, was arrested for and outstanding Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear. Erdman posted the $2,000/10% bond and was released with a return court date of 07/12/19 at 9 a.m.
June 12
Maria Galvan, 57, of Belvidere was arrested for an Failure to Appear arrest warrant. Galvan had a bond of $100. Galvan did post the $100 bond and was released from the Ogle County jail. Galvan will return to court on 06/24/19 at 9 a.m.
The Ogle County Sheriff's Department arrested Daniel Faxas, 28 of Tampa Bay, Florida, for Driving While License Suspended. Faxas was arrested by Deputies on Route 64 near Esmond Road after being stopped for Speeding. Faxas was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
June 11
Patrick Larson, 19 of Rockford, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. Larson has a bond of $5,000/10 percent and will appear in court on 06/14/19 at 1 p.m.
June 9
Ogle County Deputies met with a Lee County Deputy at an address on Lincoln Lane outside of Rochelle in reference to an Illegal Dumping complaint that took place in Lee County. Deputies spoke with 49-year-old Timothy J. Patzka of Batavia. Patzka had two valid warrants for his arrest, one for Kendall County and one for Lasalle County. While being placed in custody for the warrants, a baggie containing Methamphetamine was located on Patzka's person. Patzka was transported to the Ogle County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine and the two arrest warrants. Patzka was left at the jail in lieu of bond.
June 8
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Deputies responded to the 8900 block of N. IL Route 2 for the report of a motorcycle accident. After conducting an investigation Deputies learned Jessica Harmon, 39 of Rockford, was traveling northbound when she lost her balance and crashed coming to rest against a tree. Byron EMS transported Harmon to Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
June 7
At approximately 9 p.m., Deputies with the assistance of Oregon Police Department and Oregon Fire/EMS responded to a motorcycle accident in the 1400 block of S. Blackhawk Road in rural Oregon. After conducting an investigation, it was learned that Timothy Huinker, 61 of Hillcrest, was traveling northbound when he lost control prior to entering a curve and crashed. Huinker was located next to his motorcycle in the northeast ditch with multiple injuries. Huinker was transported by ambulance to Javon-Bea Hospital-Riverside where he received treatment. Huinker was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was also cited for Failure to Reduce Speed and Improper Lane Usage. Huinker was given a $3,000 I-bond and a return court date.
At 12:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies made a traffic stop at 508 Main St. Leaf River. Deputies arrested Joan C. Stanis, 57, of Leaf River. Stanis was arrested because she had a Failure to Appear Retail Theft warrant out of Rockford Police Department.
Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Dylan Bryant, 27 of Rochelle, in Winnebago County. He was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County Warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver. Bryant posted 10 percent of the $100,000 bond, was released, and will appear in court on 6/14/19 at 1 p.m.
June 6
At approximately 8:13 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 3000 block of N Stillman Rd. After further investigation Deputies placed Gary L. Long, 67 of Rockford under arrest for No Valid Driver’s License. Long was additionally issued a citation for no headlights when required. Long was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 5 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Dixon St. and Franklin St. in Polo. After further investigation Anthony Brinkmeire, 54 of Byron, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended and two outstanding Stephenson County warrants. Brinkmeire was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 5
At 7:50 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Wendorf Road in rural Monroe Center for the report of an all-terrain vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival, it was learned that Larry Shearer, 45, of Monroe Center, was operating a Yamaha ATV on a residential driveway in the 4900 Block of North Wendorf Road. Shearer lost control of the ATV and struck some trees; causing Shearer to be ejected. Shearer was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Ogle County Coroner. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Monroe Center Fire and Ambulance personnel. The accident remains under investigation.
