At approximately 1:39 a.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I39 Mile Marker 111. After investigation, Deputies arrested Javier Torres, 40 of Rockford, for Driving While License Revoked. Torres was also issued a citation for Littering on a Highway. Torres was transported top the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

Aug. 11

At 6:44 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 2nd and Walnut in Byron on a 2006 Ford Focus.  After a short investigation, Deputies arrested Lisa K Mccoy ,61, of Stillman Valley for Driving While License Revoked and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Lorazepam).  Mccoy was transported to the OGle County Corrections Center and will appear in court on 8-12-21. 

 At approximately 3:09 p.m., Deputies responded to the 1,000 block of N. Daysville Road in reference to a single motorcycle accident with injuries.  Upon arrival, Deputies learned a 2007 Victory Motorcycle driven by Colton Shaw, 27 of Oregon was traveling northbound on Daysville Road when he lost control while negotiating a curve. Shaw then laid down his motorcycle on the paved roadway before sliding off of the east side of the roadway and coming to rest. Shaw was transported to Mercy Riverside Hospital for non-life threatening injuries by Oregon EMS. The accident remains under investigation.   

Aug. 10

At 5:15 p.m. approximately, the Ogle County Sheriffs Deputies investigated a disturbance at the Meridian Junior High School in Stillman Valley.  Rhonda Fager, 40, of rural Stillman Valley was arrested for criminal trespass to property after refusing to leave the building.  She was transported to the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

Aug. 9

At approximately 9:51 p.m., Ogle County Deputies responded to the intersection on Unity Road and Buffalo Road for the report of a possible single vehicle accident with unknown injuries.  As Deputies arrived on scene, it was determined that a brown Ford Taurus was traveling eastbound on Buffalo Road, failed to yield at the intersection, and crashed into the east ditch embankment of Unity Road.  After the further investigation, the driver Aric J. Bender, 42 of Polo, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Bender was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.  Bender was also cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol (Open Container), and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. 

At approximately 8:51 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Freeport Road at Harper Road.  After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Justin L. Krull, 33 of Freeport, for Driving On Expired License (more than one year).  Krull was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.  Krull was also cited for Improper Use of Registration. 

At approximately 8:41 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 7000 block of N Kishwaukee Road. After further investigation Deputies arrested Christopher Howard, 32 of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended. Christopher was taken to the Ogle County Jail in Lieu of bond.

Aug. 8

At 11:10 a.m. Deputies responded to a two-motorcycle crash in the 5000 block of Illinois Rte. 64.  After a short investigation it was determined that a 2007 Harley Davidson operated by Michael Avolio, 53 of North Riverside, IL was traveling west on Illinois Rte. 64 behind a 2014 Harley Davidson operated by Dale Detman, 67 of Plainfield, Illinois, when Dale slowed for a vehicle in traffic. Michael struck Dale and lost control causing the Harley Davidson to slide on the left side. Michael Avolio and his passenger Cheryl Serpico, 62 of North Riverside, IL were transported to KSB Hospital for minor injuries by Oregon Fire.

Aug. 7

At 8:39 p.m, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 3000 block of S. IL Rt. 2 for a single vehicle crash with no injuries. After an investigation, it was determined Randall L. Clark, 51 of Dixon was traveling southbound, when he left the roadway, striking a rock wall on the west side of the road. The vehicle then traveled eastbound across the center line, and the northbound lane. The vehicle came to rest on the east side of the roadway. Clark was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Clark was also cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to prevent an accident, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Clark was transported to the Ogle County jail and held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 1:26 a.m., Ogle County Deputies along with Lynn Scott Rock and Rochelle EMS responded to the 2000 block of S. Lynnville Rd for a one vehicle accident with injuries. After investigation, It was determined that Michael Drendel, 22 of Lindenwood, was traveling northbound on S. Lynnville Rd. Drendel lost control of the vehicle, at which time he entered the east ditch, striking an embankment. Drendel's vehicle continued into a bean field at which time the vehicle was believed to roll over two times before coming to rest upright on all four tires. Drendel was transported to the Rochelle Community hospital for minor injuries by Lynn Scot Rock Ambulance.  Front seat passenger, Nolan Turner, 22 of Rochelle, was transported to OSF Saint Anthony's by Rochelle Ambulance for suspected major injuries. Drendel was issued citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage and Operate an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Drendel was given an I bond and left in the care of Rochelle Community Hospital personnel.  

Aug. 6

At approximately 10:14 p.m., Ogle County Deputies along with Lynn Scott Rock EMS personnel responded to the 14000 block of E. IL Rte 72, for a one vehicle accident with suspected minor injuries. After investigation, it was determined that Adam Moschel, 55 of Monroe Center, was traveling westbound on E. IL Rte 72. Moschel then entered the north ditch, at which time he struck a telephone pole. Moschel fled the scene but was located shortly by the Ogle County K9 Unit and transported to Rochelle Community Hospital for minor injuries from the accident. Moschel was issued citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Open Container/Alcohol, Failure to Give Notice of an Accident, Operate an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Improper Lane Usage. Moschel received an I bond and was left in the care of Rochelle Community Hospital personnel.
