OREGON — On Dec. 16 at approximately 2:36 a.m. deputies responded to the 6,700 block of North River Road in reference to a single-vehicle accident. After further investigation Jacob Hanners, 28, of Rockford, was cited for improper lane usage, failure to report an accident involving property damage, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Hanners was released on a notice to appear.
On Dec. 17 at approximately 9:53 p.m. deputies responded to a hit and run in the 300 block of Monroe Center. Deputies located the offending vehicle in the 400 block of West Street. After investigation, deputies placed Stacey M. Lozzio, 43, of DeKalb under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol 0.08 or more, improper lane usage, and leaving the scene/property damage. Lozzio was transported to the Ogle County Jail and issued citations. Lozzio was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.
On Dec. 18 at approximately 4:18 p.m. deputies investigated the report of a vehicle taken without permission from the Lee County Landfill. The vehicle was located at a residence in the 400 block of North Hannah Avenue. After further investigation Jared Babler, 27, of Mt. Morris, was placed under arrest for driving while license revoked and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Babler was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was processed and released on a notice to appear.
On Dec. 19 at approximately 3:15 p.m. deputies and the Byron Police Department assisted U.S. Federal Marshals with an arrest warrant at 818 Fieldcrest Drive in Byron. Cole Jordan, 31, of Byron was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance from Arkansas and also an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear on a retail theft charge.
All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
