OREGON — On Feb. 23 at approximately 12:10 a.m. deputies conducted traffic stop in the 13,000 block West Sterling Road. After a brief investigation, a 17-year-old juvenile was placed under arrest for no valid driver’s license after curfew. The juvenile was additionally cited for speeding and released on a notice to appear with a future court date.
On Feb. 24 at approximately 8:31 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Illinois Route 2 and Blackhawk Vista Drive. After investigation, deputies placed William Hiatt, 60, of Rockford under arrest for driving while license suspended. Hiatt was additionally issued citations for and expired registration and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. Hiatt was released on a notice to appear at the scene and given a future court date.
On Feb. 24 at approximately 1:27 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Mulford Road and Ritchie Road. After investigation, deputies placed Jamie Howard, 35, of Rockford, under arrest for driving while license suspended. Howard was also cited for no insurance. Howard was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.
On Feb. 24 at approximately 1:31 p.m. deputies checked on a vehicle in the BP gas station parking lot at Illinois Route 72 and Illinois Route 251. After investigation, deputies placed Jesus Orozco, 33, of Rochelle under arrest for no valid driver's license, after deputies had witnessed him drive. Orozco was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.
On Feb. 24 at 3:27 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Deon Cooke, 49, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Cooke was released with a notice to appear.
All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
